Financial Aid
Alberta Student Finance
Alberta Student Finance helps eligible Alberta residents with the cost of their post-secondary education. Whether planning to attend a college, university, university-college, public institute or private training school, students have access to loans, grants, and bursaries.
Alberta's student financial programs are mostly need-based, providing assistance when students and their immediate families do not have the resources to meet the costs of full-time education and basic living expenses. However, eligibility also depends on meeting certain academic standards. Assistance designed for special student groups is also available.
The Alberta Student Finance office administers programs on behalf of the Government of Alberta and of Canada, including Canada Student Loans, Canada Study Grants, Canada Access Grants and Millennium Bursaries.
